HOW DOES IT ALL WORK

Habitat for Humanity of Prince George's County, Maryland has been able to build simple, decent three bedroom houses for approximately $70,000 each. When sold at this price with a no-interest mortgage and a term of 30 years, this translates into a combined monthly payment (taxes and insurance included) of around $350.

A friend has passed
On December 3, 2011, Dr. Geraldine K. Chapman, Pastor of Hope Ministries in Temple Hills, Maryland, was called back Home. Ever seeking to serve, Dr. Chapman worked at Shepherd's Cove Shelter, Agape House, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and here with Habitat for Humanity. We are grateful for the time she spent with us. She will be missed.

Dr. Geraldine K. Chapman (May 13, 1934 - December 3, 2011)

Welcome Home

In December 2008 a family received the keys to their new home on 59th Avenue in Fairmount Heights, Maryland.  The house was built in partnership with Bank of America and the Washington Redskins Organization.  PFHfH thanks the entire Bank of America corporation, Mr. Dan Synder, owner of the Washington Redskin's football team and the entire organization for making this extraordinary gift.  The volunteers from both organizations and the PGHfH team worked feverishly to get the home completed.  The home is truly beautiful and a complement to the neighborhood.
